Multi-Use Hitch Rack Built for Large eTrikes and Much More

The Pro HD 36-70 was designed for eTrike owners who need more room and more flexibility than a traditional platform rack provides.

Its 36" wide × 70" long platform accommodates a wide range of small, medium and large eTrikes. Unlike racks with an upright folding ramp, the Pro HD 36-70 uses three fully detachable ramps. Once your eTrike is loaded, the ramps are removed, allowing tires, baskets, lights and other parts of the trike to extend beyond the front or rear of the platform when needed.

More Than an eTrike Rack

The large platform and 200-lb weight capacity give you additional carrying options. Depending on the size and combined weight of your load, the Pro HD 36-70 can be used to carry:

  • One small, medium or large eTrike
  • One eTrike plus one eBike
  • Two smaller eTrikes
  • Cargo, mobility devices and other bulky items within the carrier's size and weight limits

WILL MY eTRIKE FIT?

The Pro HD 36-70 is designed to fit a wide range of eTrikes, including many larger models.

To determine if your eTrike will fit, check these two things:

✓ Weight — Your loaded eTrike must weigh 200 lbs. or less. Be sure to include batteries, baskets and accessories you plan to leave on the trike while transporting it.

✓ Size — The rack platform measures 36" wide × 70" long. Because the three loading ramps are removable, tires, baskets, lights and other parts of your eTrike may extend beyond the front or rear of the platform.

Loading and Unloading

High Sided Ramps

Our ramps feature high sides to make loading and unloading safer. When pushing your etrike up the ramps, the last thing you want to worry about is having it fall off. The ramp sides are 2" high helping to guide the tires while you focus on pushing.

Will Your eTrike Fit?

The Pro HD 36-70 has a 36" × 70" inside platform. Because the three ramps are completely removable after loading, parts of your eTrike can extend beyond the front or rear of the rack. Use the three measurements below—or watch the short video—to determine if your eTrike will fit.

STEP 1 — Measure Length

Measure your eTrike from front to back at approximately 4" above the ground, as shown. If this measurement is 68" or less, it fits within the recommended wheel-position area.

STEP 2 — Turn the Front Wheel if Needed

Longer than 68"? Turn the front wheel sideways and measure from the farthest point of the front tire to the rear axle, as shown. If this measurement is 68" or less, it fits.

STEP 3 — Measure Width

Measure from the outside of one tire to the outside of the other tire. Do not include axle bolts, fenders or other components that can extend beyond the platform. If the tire-to-tire width is 35½" or less, it fits.

Before You Hit the Road

Know Your Vehicle Overhang

The Pro HD 36-70 extends approximately 58" from the rear of the vehicle to the farthest point of the rack. Keep this additional length in mind when turning, backing up and maneuvering in tight spaces.

Overhang requirements vary by location. Check applicable state and local requirements for flags, markers, lighting or other requirements before traveling.


Plan Ahead for Parking

With the rack installed, your vehicle is approximately 58" longer at the rear. Standard parking spaces may not always provide enough room, especially with an eTrike loaded. Look for pull-through spaces, end spaces or other locations that provide additional clearance when possible.
