The Pro Series Hitch Platform Carrier with detachable ramps model PRO HD 36-70 is an upgraded heavy duty premium platform carrier. Its designed to fit 95% of all electric trikes. With its 36" wide interior space and 70" length, most trikes will easily fit. The three detachable ramps mean, no upright ramp that prevents over hang and limits the size of the trike.
The platform rack can also be used to haul cargo, mobility devices and other large bulky objects within the weight limits of the carrier.

The 36-70 works with most etrikes that are 200 lb. or less, and fit within the measurements of the rack. it allows for baskets and other parts of the etrike to overhang / extend even further.

DOES IT FIT?
The Hitch Platform Carrier model Pro HD 36-70 has inside dimensions of 36 inches wide and 70 inches long. It can carry large eTrikes. Or, it can haul two smaller eTrikes or an eTrike + and eBike.
Step 1
Measure your trike front to back. Start with measuring the front tire 4 inches above the ground. From that point, measure to the rear axle. If its 68 inches or less, It fits. (fig 1.)
Step 2
If it’s over 68 inches, then turn the front wheel sideways. Measure the furthest point on the tire back to the rear axle. If its 68 inches or less, it fits. If it is longer, it will not fit safely on the rack. (fig 2.)
Step 3
Measure from outside of the tire to the outside of the other tire. Do not include axle bolts or fenders that may protrude further. They won’t interfere with the rack. If your trike is 35 ½ inches or less, it fits on the rack. (fig 3.)

2 Things To Consider
Overhang
Overhang is the distance from the rear of your vehicle to furthest point on the rack. The Pro HD 36-70 model has an overhang of 58 inches. Your state law may require additional markers such as flags.
Parking
When using the Hitch Platform Carrier, plan for parking. The 58 inches of overhang will prevent you from using a standard parking spot.
